The R-Map project recently reached an important milestone with the successful completion of its first semester meeting and co-creation workshop, held at the University of Twente on September 3rd and 4th, 2024. Hosted in the well-organized facilities of the university, the event spanned two highly productive days, gathering project partners to discuss progress, refine methodologies, and strategize for the next steps.
Day 1 – Progress Meeting: The first day focused on reviewing the project’s advancements. Each partner presented their updates, demonstrating that tasks are not only on track but progressing according to plan. The meeting encouraged open discussion among partners, ensuring that everyone was aligned on the current status and future directions. The collaborative atmosphere of the day fostered meaningful dialogue and set the stage for the next phase of R-Map’s work.
Day 2, Co-Creation workshop: The second day was an interactive and engaging co-creation workshop aimed at developing the R-Map Integrated Assessment Framework. Partners worked together to identify and discuss key impact factors related to remote working and their interconnections. These findings will play a vital role in shaping the framework that will guide the project’s ongoing efforts to assess the effects of remote work on both urban and rural communities. The interactive approach and lively discussions among participants led to rich insights that will guide the project’s future stages.
Looking Ahead
With the first semester now concluded, the R-Map team is excited to continue its journey toward understanding and addressing the urban-rural divide through remote work. The project is advancing well, and the foundations laid during this meeting will be instrumental in its continued success.
