On 1 October 2026, the R-Map consortium gathered in Bregenz, Austria, for its 6th Project Meeting, bringing partners together to review the project’s latest progress, exchange insights, and coordinate the activities ahead.
With R-Map now entering its final phase, the meeting represented an important moment for the consortium to reflect on the progress achieved so far and align on the priorities for the remaining months. Discussions increasingly focused on consolidating the project’s results, advancing the final project activities, and ensuring that R-Map’s findings, tools, and recommendations can generate impact beyond the project’s lifetime.

Key Progress and Discussions
Following a welcome from the host, Research and Innovation Management (RIM), represented by Katharina Fellnhofer, and an overview of the project’s overall progress, partners turned their attention to the latest developments across the project’s technical and research activities.
Partners reviewed the latest developments of the R-Map visualisation platform, including its second updated online version. Discussions then focused on assessing the impacts of remote working on the urban–rural divide, including scenario building and the co-creation of policy measures. Particular attention was also given to the upcoming Cross-Regional Dialogues, which will bring together insights and experiences from different regional contexts.
Towards R-Map’s Final Milestones
The meeting concluded with project management updates and joint planning for the final project meeting and event in Brussels, taking place on 3 and 4 December, respectively.
As R-Map moves through its final phase, the consortium remains focused on completing the remaining activities, strengthening the impact of its results, and ensuring that the knowledge generated throughout the project can support future discussions on remote work and regional development.
A warm thank you to RIM for hosting the consortium in Bregenz and to all partners for their active participation and valuable contributions. We look forward to a productive final phase and to coming together once again in Brussels for R-Map’s concluding milestones!
